Data deletion
Ares (com.ares.fit) — how to delete your account and data, or request deletion by email.
1. Delete in the app (recommended)
If you signed in with Google / have a cloud account:
- Open Ares on your Android device.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. A network connection is required so your cloud data can be removed.
When deletion succeeds, your cloud account and associated cloud data for that account (such as profile, routes, steps, Friends connections, body targets, and Ares Pro access records) are removed, and local sign-in state and that user's local app data on the device are cleared.
2. Guest users (no cloud account)
Guest data is stored on your device only. It was never stored on my servers.
- Clear Ares app storage in Android Settings, or
- Uninstall Ares.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot use the in-app flow (for example you no longer have the device, or deletion fails), email:
Use subject line: Ares data deletion request
Include:
- The Google account email you used with Ares (so I can verify you own the account),
- That you want your Ares account and associated cloud data deleted,
- Any other detail that helps identify the account.
I verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting cloud data. Requests are handled manually — allow a reasonable time for a reply.
4. What is not removed by Ares deletion
- Google Play subscription or purchase history (cancel in Google Play to stop billing),
- your Google account itself,
- content you already shared outside Ares,
- backup files you exported and saved yourself,
- host backups or logs during their normal retention periods.
